Projects
The Rotary Club of West Chester/Liberty is a group of approximately sixty local business-people who meet every Friday at 7:30 a.m. for breakfast at the Wetherington Golf & Country Club, West Chester, OH. Our motto is Service Above Self and we pursue this by working with nonprofit and charitable organizations to improve our club, our vocation, our community, and the world at large.
Each year we encourage our local community to join us during several fundraising events, which include: a Dinner/Auction, Golf Outing, Raffle and a Wine Tasting Party.
Our supported projects to help build goodwill and better friendships, as well as benefit our local community are:
- Provided $25,000 to the West Chester/Liberty Township Fire Departments to purchase a children's mobile educational fire safety house.
- Provided $8,000 to the West Chester/Liberty Township Fire Department to upgrade fire house safety.

Our recent efforts to provide humanitarian aid internationally while building goodwill and better friendships for all are:
- Contributed $11,000 to the Rotary International Polio Plus Program. Rotary, along with the World Health Organization (WHO) and U.S. Center for Disease Control Prevention (CDC), plays an instrumental role in the effort to eradicate polio from the world. The 1.2 million Rotarians worldwide have raised more than $240 Million to buy polio vaccines for the poor countries of the world. Since 1988, worldwide cases of polio have plummeted from 35,251 to 5,186 in 1997. Only four countries are still polio endemic - Nigeria, India, Pakistan, and Afghanistan.
- We hosted Rotary Group Study Exchange teams from Africa, India, Argentina and North Korea.
Rotary International has taken on polio eradication as its global cause. The Rotary Club of West Chester/Liberty is a contributor in that fight.
