A 68-year-old north Westport man was transported to the hospital Friday morning after the vehicle he was driving was struck by a srta bus at the intersection of Sanford and State Roads. A Jeep Patriot 4x4 entered the intersection from Sanford Road and was turning west onto State Road when struck by the westbound bus. The jeep was spun around and drifted back into the eastbound land of State Road before coming to a stop.The Jeeps frontend was heavily damaged; the bus sustained minimal damage to its left front bumper and directional lights.
